Soccer Game Preview: Immanuel vs. Exeter

Immanuel hasn't had much luck against Exeter recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Immanuel Eagles will face off against the Exeter Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. Immanuel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Last Thursday, Immanuel came up short against Reedley and fell 4-2.

Tori Matlak and Maryjane Rogers scored both of Immanuel's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Exeter fell victim to Central Valley Christian and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Cavaliers. Considering the last time the Monarchs couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-2. As for Immanuel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-6.

Immanuel came up short against Exeter in their previous matchup on January 9th, falling 3-1. Can Immanuel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
