Basketball Recap: Punxsutawney Find Success

Punxsutawney proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 24) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tyrone Golden Eagles, sneaking past 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chucks have posted since December 28, 2023.

Punxsutawney's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Tyrone, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Punxsutawney will challenge Bradford at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Tyrone, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Tyrone Golden Eagles take on the Bald Eagle Area Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
