Softball Recap: Rangeview Takes a Loss

Rangeview lost against George Washington back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders fell 18-13 to the Patriots. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (12), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

Jazmyn Nunez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Moyers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Rangeview has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season. As for George Washington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rangeview will host Widefield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for George Washington, they will welcome Longmont at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.22 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
