Soccer Game Preview: Cibola vs. Cleveland

Cibola is 0-10 against Cleveland since October of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Cougars will host the Storm at 4:00 p.m. Cibola has given up an average of 4.9 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cibola came up short against Volcano Vista on Wednesday, falling 9-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Cibola were already down 6-0.

Meanwhile, Cleveland faced Volcano Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Storm had just enough and edged out the Hawks 2-1. Cleveland found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Trevor Louis and Erick Andrade were both handed yellow cards.

Denym Lodge and Elijah McLaughlin scored both of Cleveland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Cibola's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Cleveland, they pushed their record up to 7-6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
