Football Recap: Holly Springs Falls to Panther Creek in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Holly Springs unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 16-7 to the Panther Creek Catamounts on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Golden Hawks' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Panther Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Travis Woodard, who rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown.

Looking ahead, Holly Springs will head out to take on Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Panther Creek, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hillside at 7:00 p.m.
