Soccer Game Preview: Silverado vs. Granite Hills

Silverado hasn't had much luck against Granite Hills recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Silverado Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Granite Hills Cougars at 4:30 p.m.

Silverado is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Victor Valley, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Granite Hills waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Aztecs a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won ten contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Marisah Nolan and Layla Lobato scored all four of Granite Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Granite Hills has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those nine matches. As for Silverado, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Silverado might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Granite Hills in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Silverado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
