Softball Recap: Poudre Takes a Loss

Poudre extended their losing streak to 12 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-17. They came up short against the Fossil Ridge SaberCats, falling 17-2. If the Impalas were looking for revenge after losing 19-4 to the SaberCats when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Breanne Morrow made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

As for Fossil Ridge, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-13 record. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season.

On Fossil Ridge's side, they let Rylee Bullers and Briella Myers run wild. Bullers went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Myers went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Bullers has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Trinity Fetzer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

Poudre wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-4 loss against Rocky Mountain on the 4th. As for Fossil Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-13 draw against Fort Collins on the 2nd.
