Softball Recap: Freeman Wins Going Away Against Fillmore Central

Freeman got themselves on the board against Fillmore Central on Thursday, but Fillmore Central never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 10-0. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Bryleigh Crouse, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 14 games. Sydney Lenners was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Freeman hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 11 consecutive contests.

The win got Freeman back to even at 8-8. As for Fillmore Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Freeman has already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against Wilber-Clatonia on the 11th. As for Fillmore Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Blue River at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Blue River will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Fillmore Central surely won't give up without a fight.
