Basketball Game Preview: Foothill Mustangs vs. Burbank Titans

The Foothill Mustangs will challenge the Burbank Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Foothill will head into Monday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They had to suffer through a 68-5 loss at the hands of West Campus. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Burbank entered their tilt with Florin on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 53-7. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Burbank's win came from a few key players Foothill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Daejahmonni Tagger, who posted 16 points. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aniyah Bufford, who scored 14 points.

Burbank is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-23.

Foothill took a serious blow against Burbank when the teams last played back in January, falling 68-19.
