Preview: Lake Central Indians vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers
The Lake Central Indians's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Loyola Academy Ramblers at 10:30 a.m. on January 15th. One thing working in Lake Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
Lake Central stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Portage 67-27 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-15.
It was another big night for Ayla Krygier, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Bishop, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Loyola Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over Batavia.
Lake Central pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Loyola Academy, their win bumped their record up to 21-0.
