Softball Recap: Erie Extends Winning Streak to Three

Erie waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Frederick Golden Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Braelen Heer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydnie Snook, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Erie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Erie's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Frederick, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

As of now, neither Erie nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
