Softball Recap: Mundy's Mill Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Mundy's Mill came out on top against Mt. Zion on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 19-run first inning. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 19-8 margin over the Bulldogs. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 17-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Shamiyah Jackson was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Dyanna Griffin, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Mundy's Mill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .852. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Zion, they will venture away from home to take on Luella at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
