Sunnyslope came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the McClintock Chargers 28-7. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 41-28 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Sunnyslope to victory were Kelton Rogers and Royce Vanacore. Rogers rushed for 121 yards and two scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, while Vanacore rushed for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rogers' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.

Sunnyslope's record now sits at 8-2. As for McClintock, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Sunnyslope will be playing at home against Cienega at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. McClintock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
