Soccer Recap: Prospect Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Prospect was not quite North Monterey County's equal in the second half on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Monterey County Condors. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Condors are ranked 86th).

Prospect's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for North Monterey County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

The future could be bright for both Prospect and North Monterey County: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Prospect will try to hand ACE Charter their third-straight loss when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Similarly, North Monterey County will look to extend Seaside's three-game losing streak when the meet at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
