Softball Recap: West Fork's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura on Thursday, West Fork came back down to earth. The Warhawks fell just short of the Newman Catholic Knights by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Warhawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 5-1.

West Fork's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6. As for Newman Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 20-5-1 record this season.

West Fork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Alta-Aurelia on the 9th. As for Newman Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Madrid on the 9th.
