Baseball Recap: Phoenix Takes a Loss

If Phoenix was riding high fresh off their 13-7 takedown of Hidden Valley on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates lost 15-6 to the Mustangs on Friday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 13-7.

Phoenix saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Jennings, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Wyatt Parent was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Hidden Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Phoenix nor Hidden Valley have any future games scheduled.
