Softball Recap: Mark Twain Takes a Loss

Mark Twain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monroe City Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 16-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Mark Twain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mark Twain will challenge Palmyra at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe City, they will face off against Macon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
