Basketball Game Preview: Sanger Apaches vs. Fresno Warriors

The Sanger Apaches will venture away from home to square off against the Fresno Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Sanger will head out to face Fresno after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Sanger fell 55-43 to Roosevelt. The Apaches have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Fresno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Torres. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Toros are ranked 270th).

Fresno's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Sanger, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-9.

Sanger and Fresno were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but Sanger came up empty-handed after a 62-61 defeat. Can Sanger avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
