Oaks Christian's defense stepped up to hand Thousand Oaks a 3-0 shutout. The Lions' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Jonnie-Jane Quiroz and Scarlette Druian scored all three of Oaks Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, on TuesdayAgoura kept up with Newbury Park until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Everything went Newbury Park's way against Agoura as Newbury Park made off with a 3-0 victory. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Chargers are ranked 605th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was Newbury Park's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matches. As for Oaks Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0-1.

Everything went Oaks Christian's way against Newbury Park in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Oaks Christian made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oaks Christian since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
