Basketball Recap: Mayfield Cubs vs. Chadwick Dolphins
Mayfield hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost three straight) but thanks in part to Christine Ellis that streak is no more. The Mayfield Cubs blew past the Chadwick Dolphins 47-23 on Thursday thanks in part to Ellis, who scored 16 points. Her afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.
Mayfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Chadwick, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayfield will venture away from home to challenge Flintridge Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flintridge Prep will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Mayfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chadwick, they will head out to square off against Westridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
