Football Recap: Arkansas City Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Arkansas City extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They had to suffer through a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Eisenhower Tigers. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 47-13 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Eisenhower, their record now sits at 2-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Brayden Pappas, who rushed for 382 yards and five scores while picking up 13.2 yards per carry. Eisenhower is 2-1 when Pappas posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise. Hayden Nall did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 104 receiving yards.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Arkansas City is set to take on their familiar foe Goddard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eisenhower will challenge rival Andover Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Pappas and Jaxson Green.
