Basketball Game Preview: Mount Union Trojans vs. Huntingdon Bearcats

Mount Union is 0-10 against Huntingdon since December of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. Mount Union will be strutting in after a victory while Huntingdon will be coming in after a loss.

Mount Union hadn't beaten Moshannon Valley on the road since January 7, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Trojans took down the Black Knights/Damsels 38-24.

Mount Union's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylynn Corliss, who went 6-for-15 en route to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Lily House, who posted 18 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Huntingdon took a blow against Bishop McCort on Friday, falling 53-12.

Mount Union's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Huntingdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Mount Union was dealt a bruising 66-31 loss at the hands of Huntingdon in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
