Basketball Recap: Adyson Weyandt Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mcconnellsburg

Tussey Mountain won the last time they faced McConnellsburg and things went their way on Monday too. The Tussey Mountain Titans managed a 43-39 victory over the McConnellsburg Spartans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tussey Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adyson Weyandt, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Weyandt a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Weaver, who posted three points in addition to six assists, six boards, and six steals.

Tussey Mountain's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for McConnellsburg, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Tussey Mountain will head out to take on Mount Union at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for McConnellsburg, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Northern Bedford County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
