Softball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

If Kennedy was feeling good fresh off their 21-12 takedown of Adams City on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Commanders came up short against the Overland Trailblazers on Thursday, falling 19-13. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Commanders of the 20-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kennedy suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-8-1. As for Overland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will welcome Pueblo East at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Overland, they will face off against Adams City at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
