Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln County vs. McCormick

The Lincoln County Red Devils will square off against the McCormick Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

While Lincoln County's victory against Washington County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils had just enough and edged out the Golden Hawks 3-2 last Wednesday. Lincoln County better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Gavin Claxton, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, McCormick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to Abbeville. Things were pretty much settled by the half as McCormick were already down 9-1.

McCormick's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lincoln County, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
