Soccer Recap: St. Paul Takes a Loss

St. Paul fought the good fight in their overtime game against Pomona Catholic on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pomona Catholic Pacers by a score of 2-1. The Swordsmen have struggled against the Pacers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pomona Catholic, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul will take on Hawthorne at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pomona Catholic, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
