Soccer Game Preview: Rock Springs Christian Academy vs. St. George's

The Rock Springs Christian Academy Eagles will take on the St. George's Athletes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rock Springs Christian Academy has given up an average of 6.5 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Rock Springs Christian Academy took on Heritage on Monday. The Eagles lost 10-0 to the Hawks. While losing is never fun, Rock Springs Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Heritage are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, St. George's had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against LaGrange Academy. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but St. George's were the better team in the second half.

St. George's win bumped their record up to 10-2-1. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Rock Springs Christian Academy suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to St. George's when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
