Football Recap: Big Lake Takes a Loss

Big Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-16 loss at the hands of the Zimmerman Thunder. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Thunder are ranked 50th).

Big Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Zimmerman, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Big Lake will challenge rival Providence Academy/Heritage Christian Academy/Maranatha Christian Academy/West Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Zimmerman is set to square off against their familiar foe Mound-Westonka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
