Basketball Recap: Dunsmuir Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Dunsmuir duked it out withBig Valley on Monday. The Dunsmuir Tigers had to suffer through a 52-18 loss at the hands of the Big Valley Cardinals. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Dunsmuir lost, don't look at Cyla Clemens. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points. That was a full 61.1% of Dunsmuir's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Devon Holland, who earned eight points.

Dunsmuir's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Big Valley, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.

Dunsmuir will venture away from home to challenge Surprise Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Big Valley, they will square off against Hayfork at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
