Soccer Game Preview: Banning vs. Desert Mirage

Banning hasn't had much luck against Desert Mirage recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Banning Broncos will head out to challenge the Desert Mirage RAMS at 5:30 a.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Banning's offense. They came up short against Desert Hot Springs on Thursday, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Desert Mirage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cathedral City. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the RAMS couldn't quite close it out.

Desert Mirage's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Banning, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-3.

Banning beat Desert Mirage by a goal in their previous matchup last Thursday, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Banning since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
