Soccer Recap: Saint Mary's Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Saint Mary can now relate to. The San Rafael Bulldogs got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to the Saint Mary's Panthers' five. That makes it the first time this season the Panthers have let down their home crowd.

Saint Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for San Rafael, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Saint Mary's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Rafael, they will challenge Sonoma Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
