Baseball Recap: Katz Yeshiva Victorious

Katz Yeshiva lost to Tournament Opponent on Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Storm came out on top against Tournament Opponent by a score of 5-2.

Jake Korchak made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, Katz Yeshiva let Yamin Levitt and Ronen Ben-Aharon run wild. Levitt went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Ben-Aharon went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Katz Yeshiva is 4-2 when Ben-Aharon posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Abie Kaweblum, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Katz Yeshiva kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Katz Yeshiva's win bumped their record up to 5-11.
