Baseball Game Preview: Chilton Tigers vs. Hilbert Wolves

The Chilton Tigers will face off against the Hilbert Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chilton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Kewaskum on Friday. They fell 6-1 to the Indians.

Meanwhile, Hilbert can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They skirted past Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolves have posted since May 2nd.

Parker Anderson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Max Schneider was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaron Halbach, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Hilbert was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Hilbert's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Chilton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Chilton got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2024 against Hilbert by a conclusive 29-4 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
