Basketball Recap: High Point Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

High Point Baptist Academy was the 61-36 winner over Dayspring Christian Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The High Point Baptist Academy Eagles were dealt a 60-29 defeat at the hands of the Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Warriors are ranked 274th).

Dayspring Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jyla Stoltzfus out in front who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Arissa Devens, who had 16 points.

High Point Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

High Point Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-26 defeat against Mount Calvary Christian on the 10th. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 51-41 loss against Veritas Academy on the 10th.
