The Lutheran Lions will challenge the Windsor Wizards at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lutheran is coming into the game hot, having won their last 15 games.
Lutheran is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Air Academy 4-3.

Annie Schroeder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ella Faries was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. Addie Brightman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Windsor got themselves on the board against Severance on Friday, but Severance never followed suit. They blew past the Silver Knights 10-0. The Wizards might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Kylie Smith, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Gabriela Wagner, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Windsor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Lutheran's record is now 23-4. As for Windsor, their record now sits at 25-2.
Lutheran's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's game. The Lions have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Windsor, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lutheran continue to outrun the ball?
Lutheran skirted past Windsor 1-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wizards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
