Mission Veterans Memorial took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 28-0 win over the Mission Eagles. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 23-21 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Mission Veterans Memorial found their leader in sophomore Roman Reyna, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 44 yards. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Martinez, who gained 108 total yards and a touchdown.

Coming up, Mission Veterans Memorial will host Edcouch-Elsa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mission, they will head out on the road to face off against Weslaco East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
