Baseball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

The Columbus Blue Devils came up short against the Glenwood Gators on Monday, falling 8-2. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbus saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Randall, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Randall has posted since back in March of 2024.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Glenwood, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will square off against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Glenwood, they will challenge Holtville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
