Baseball Recap: Gordon Central Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Gordon Central had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Gordon Lee Trojans 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Trojans last Tuesday, they had to take a 10-0 loss.

Gordon Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trit Newberry, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-19. As for Gordon Lee, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 23-1.

Gordon Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
