Basketball Recap: Madera South Stallions vs. McLane Highlanders

The Madera South Stallions's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against McLane by a score of 34-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Madera South also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Madera South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was BRIANNAH LORTA out in front who scored 15 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which LORTA has scored at least a third of Madera South's points. The team also got some help courtesy of JALISSA KIRKPATRICK, who scored eight points.

Madera South's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15. As for McLane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Madera South will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fresno presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Stallions in California (the Warriors are ranked 330th, while the Stallions are ranked 768th). As for McLane, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rough Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
