Football Recap: Sam Krzykowski Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Shawnee Mission North + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olathe West). They took down the Shawnee Mission North Bison 42-24 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Owls' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Bison are ranked 97th).

Olathe West got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Krzykowski out in front who picked up 154 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 54 yards and one score. Krzykowski's longest reception was for an incredible 76 yards. Josh Foland was another key back, gaining 178 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Olathe West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 250 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
