Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was the 47-45 winner over West when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The South Spartans took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Warriors on Saturday.

South's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for West, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

South will head out on the road to square off against Palos Verdes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palos Verdes will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something South surely won't give up without a fight. As for West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Redondo Union at 5:30 p.m.
