The Wolfson Wolfpack will square off against the Stanton Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wolfson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Stanton will be up against a hot Wolfson squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Wolfpack's pitchers stepped up to hand Duval Charter a 5-0 shutout on Thursday.
Wolfson's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cam Wiggins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Stanton brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against Eagle's View on Friday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. Considering the Blue Devils have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Stanton let Ethan Abram and Brooks Jarrett run wild. Abram got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Jarrett went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Jarrett has posted since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hafer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Stanton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagle's View only posted an OBP of .292.
Stanton's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Wolfson, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wolfson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Stanton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Wolfson beat Stanton 6-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Do the Wolfpack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
