Football Recap: Texico Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Texico had won three straight games and Cross Figg did his part to make it four on Friday. The Wolverines came out on top against the Eunice Cardinals by a score of 42-34 with plenty of help from Figg, who rushed for 174 yards and one TD, and also threw for 194 yards and four touchdowns. Texico is 5-1 when Figg posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Keaton Dumas did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 60 receiving yards. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.

Texico's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Eunice, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Coincidentally, Texico and Eunice will both be playing Tularosa the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wolverines will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
