Football Recap: Laguna Acoma Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Laguna Acoma lost against Hatch Valley back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks were dealt a 50-12 defeat at the hands of the Bears.

Loss or not, Laguna Acoma got some senior leadership from Jayden Dailey and Gregory Vallo. Dailey threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes, while Vallo picked up 120 receiving yards and one score.

Leading Hatch Valley to victory were David Dumas and Demarcus Alaniz. Dumas rushed for 105 yards on only 11 carries, while Alaniz picked up 30 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Dumas has posted since back in October of 2024.

Laguna Acoma's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hatch Valley, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Laguna Acoma will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Navajo Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 5.8 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hatch Valley, they have already played their next contest, a 49-7 defeat against Dexter on the 20th.
