Baseball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Knights vs. Westfield School Hornets

Calvary Christian has gone a perfect 4-0 against Westfield School recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Calvary Christian Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Westfield School Hornets at 4:00 p.m.

Calvary Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Westfield School a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Braxton Wilkinson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Calvary Christian let Nate Osborne and Tommy Irving run wild. Osborne went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Irving went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four RBI gave Osborne a new career-high. Bryson Brooks was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Westfield School's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Calvary Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
