Recap: University City Centurions vs. Lincoln Hornets
The University City Centurions's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed by Lincoln on the road to the tune of 47-10. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-2.
University City was led to victory by Kianna LeFear and Chaya Scott. LeFear scored 12 points along with two steals, while Scott dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Scott has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Giron, who scored nine points along with four steals.
University City's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Lincoln, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University City will face off against Point Loma at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to challenge El Camino at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
