Baseball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-0 defeat on Friday.

Northside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Hall, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Northside's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Thomas County Central, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will take on Westside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Thomas County Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cairo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
