After flying high against Pacific Ridge on Thursday, Bonita Vista came back down to earth. The Bonita Vista Barons opened the new year with a less-than-successful 61-49 defeat to the Hoover Cardinals.
Bonita Vista lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sophia Ambriz, who posted 17 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Shea Gonzalez, who had ten points and seven steals.
