Basketball Game Preview: The Academy - San Francisco Wolves vs. Galileo Lions

The Academy - San Francisco Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Galileo Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The Academy - San Francisco played against Mission and won via forfeit.

Galileo will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Lincoln, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Galileo took down Lincoln 42-23 on Friday.

Galileo found their leader in sophomore Caitlin Yee, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Yee. The team also got some help courtesy of Shuhan Yu, who put up ten points.

Galileo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points per game. As for The Academy - San Francisco, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-6.

Things could have been worse for The Academy - San Francisco, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-35 loss to Galileo in their previous matchup on January 10th.
