Basketball Game Preview: Lawrence County Bulldogs vs. Hopewell Titans

Having just played yesterday, the Lawrence County Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Hopewell Titans at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lawrence County comes in on five and Hopewell on nine.

If Lawrence County beats Hopewell with 71 points on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. It was close, but on FridayLawrence County capped 2024 with a 71-69 win over Bishop England.

Meanwhile, Hopewell slipped by Archbishop Alter 51-50 on Friday. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in North Carolina, while the Knights are ranked 179th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lawrence County pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hopewell, their record now sits at 9-0.
